All-Ages: Eclipse Viewing Party!

9:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Lisle Library District
Library-wide

Event Details

Join the Lisle Library District for an opportunity to view this natural wonder. On the morning of Monday, August 21 at 9:30 AM, visit the Connection Desk to pick-up a complimentary pair of solar eclipse glasses (one per person). Only a limited quantity will be available- first come, first served (Lisle District residents will be given priority).

Then, anytime between the beginning of the eclipse at 11:53 AM and the end of the eclipse at 2:42 PM, join us in the south parking lot at the reading patio for a special viewing party of the partial solar eclipse at 1:19 PM. The first fifty individuals will receive complimentary viewing glasses.

You don’t want to miss out on this celestial event as the next solar eclipse will take place in 2024!

The Lisle Library District (LLD) assumes no responsibility for any person causing harm to themselves or others by following unsafe eclipse viewing procedures or via using the NASA approved, American Astronomical Society eclipse viewing ‘glasses’ distributed at the LLD.

Eclipse spectators view at their own risk.

If you don't fully and clearly understand how to safely view a solar eclipse and if you don’t believe your eclipse viewing equipment is 100 percent safe, then we highly recommend that you don't attempt to view the solar eclipse.
